Ha, excellent! Seems Infernal Love era Therapy? lends itself quite well to artistic interpretation :)
Take a bow Anton Corbijn!

We’ve been hearing music outside all day from some kind of festival / private party / band rehearsal / whatever going on near us, apparently, when suddenly a band started playing STORIES! They even played it well :) No idea what was going on but it was awesome!

It was on TV last night! She didn’t actually say she was a fan, she said her brother listened to stuff like Sonic Youth and Therapy? when they were young and ‘I want to die’ type bands and she used to listen through the bedroom wall at night. still cool though!

A couple of days ago on Irish tv news, they ran the story of Marc Detroux’s (mid 90’s Belgian killer) wife being released from prison, and it showed a photo of one of his teenage female victims wearing a Therapy? shirt. :(

Now that’s definately the weirdest, and saddest, place I’ve seen Therapy?

One of the assistants in York Lush told me about how her friends got drunk and ate Lush products because they smelled so good.

They have an interesting style of customer service in these places.

This leads me to… “I’m gonna get drunk, come round and eat your soap!”

Whilst the good lady wife was browsing and I was stood lurking about (taking sly photo’s), I noticed through the open back door into the staff area, there is a big blackboard with ‘motivational’ slogans written on in chalk. There was something about remembering to sing and dance to the radio and to always smile.

I felt a little sad when I saw that.

Walked into a pub in a small middle-of-nowhere village in Donegal during my summer holidays , there were 2 pensioners sitting in a corner sipping a pint of Guinness and in the background they had Bad Mother coming out of the speakers.
Rather surreal experience , mind you I still had to take the air guitar out for the solo bit.

Have heard Troublegum coming out of a parked car in Mauritius in the Indian Ocean.
Wasn’t too long after the gig in La Reunion so there’s a link there probably.

I know this is isn’t exactly the right topic, but I was reading a Philip Larkin poem the other day that had the line “nothing more terrible, nothing more true” in it. So that’s where the “Enjoy The Struggle” line comes from. Not sure if that was already a well known WOMble fact!

Here’s the poem in full:

Today in Blanchardstown, saw a guy with a Troublegum t shirt. Gave him a knowing stare as I was wearing my Crooked Timber t shirt. Then realised I had my jacket zipped up.

I saw a chap in the local tesco wearing a T? shirt and without thinking said “nice shirt mate”.
He looked at me like I was a cunt and was taking the piss, or at least I think he did. He was a bit of a goofy fucker.
