It’s good… First episode is a bit 28 Days Later ish and the 2nd is a bit slow, but it really gets going in the 3rd episode, so stick with it. Really good gory effects for the zombie attacks too. Last episode is this Fri, so looking forward to that.

Cool. I don’t know if I’ll bother watching any until it’s all finished - all series of it. No point getting into US shows these days as they usually get cancelled if they’re any good.

I’m still pissed off about Pushing Daisies - one of the best shows in years. To be fair, I didn’t get into it until after it had been cancelled, so I would’ve been more upset if I’d been watching it for a year or two and then it got cancelled - at least I knew when I got into it. I’m still holding out hopes it might come back or they might make a movie, but it probably won’t happen.

Can’t belive the witch went through and our Mary didn’t.
Always thought Matt would win it but not so sure after this weekend. That Rebecca is seriously good.

Why does everyone hate Cher Lloyd? Am sure Mary’s got a fine career ahead of her regardless of being knocked out. That said, probably so has Wagner :s

The Big 4 DVD. I was shocked how good Anthrax sounded. Joey Belladonna sounded stronger than he did when I saw them back in 92! Loved the little bit of Heaven & Hell they did for Dio!
Megadeth was STRONG, great to see David Ellifson back in the mix!
Slayer rocked but Tom Araya’s voice is starting to show it’s age. Metallica was Metallica…
Awesome to see everyone on the stage for Am I Evil?
Funny in the special features to see Lars tell Dave how Megadeth was his daughters favorite band for a while recently. and how much they played them in the car.
Love to see a Megadeth/Metallica tour and have Dave come out and play some oldies with them.

Heathen !
@ Hooch : Cher is just cocky and does the same trick every week with the rap stuff in the middle of a song , it gets so old.
On Wagner’s career , still love the guy but can’t see him getting anything else than singer in some obscure lap dance bar in Soho or the likes.
And what’s the story with One Direction ? Two of them can actually sing and the other three just stand there to make up the numbers and join in the chorus.

Isn’t that the standard formula for any boyband?!
I think it’s good that they let Cher do some rapping, it’s obviously the sort of music she loves and what she’d want to do on her own records. Personally I think it’s a shame as she’s got a genuinely beautiful and distinctive voice and it will be wasted on cheap pop/rap. No denying she’s a bit gormless but I think everybody is when they’re 17.

Oh, I have also been watching The Trip - Steve Coogan/Rob Brydon utter genius. I think the whole series is still up on t’i-player. And I just started watching Alias, which judging by the mobile phones they use is at least ten years old. Obviously a forerunner for shows like Dollhouse - good but it’s been done better since.
Anyone else excited about Episodes? Awesome trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zdifiN8ngA

I really enjoyed The Trip too (still haven’t seen the last episode, but I recorded it on Monday). It’s pretty different, kinda weird and most episodes consist largely of them doing impressions to each other, but somehow it works :-)

Misfits series 2, this is appalling and I’m loving it, I know it’s supposed to bit of a piss take of Heroes but it’s in a league of its’ own, I watched 4 episodes in a row and it’s the most I’ve laughed all year.
Freedom that’s just started on bbc2 is enjoyable, as is Men Of Rock on bbc4 if only for the amazing scenery.

Really? I thought they both came off pretty well. Great film though, but my god, have you ever seen a band with so little to say?!
