Well, you have to look at it from this point of view - did Cadbury’s do it?
After getting permission for the takeover from the government (and using money from majority ‘public owned’ RBS) (IIRC) it only seems ‘fair’ that Kraft should stick it up them and by proxy us.

Regarding Tax avoidance, if it’s ok then would it still be ok if everyone had access to these schemes? If everybody on PAYE could use them I feel the government would be finding a way of outlawing them pretty quickly.

We should be grateful for employment and for the lower taxes than those employing us.
If we don’t like it we get to chance to change things every 5 years or so.
Other than that we have no influence on policy at all, unless we can find a Geoff Hoon type figure and a spare £5,000.
The game is rigged.

Anybody hear about the 12year old kid who wanted to protest outside Camerons offices about his local youth centre being closed down due to cuts and put a page about it on facebook, a police officer, alleged terrorism squad, turns up at his school, has him hauled out of class and has a talk with him with his headmaster present (didn’t bother calling his family or anything!). Tells him that if there is any trouble, even if the kid doesn’t go himself he’ll be arrested for it! And there will be armed officers there as well in case… WTF! this country is becoming a police state, this is an erosion of peoples right to peacefully protest and it’s all downhill from here. :Furious: the kid’s 12!

The press and government have spent so long demonising kids and the ‘ferral youth’ that they aren’t allowed to have an opinion.
And on the issue of tax…I’ve always like this paranoid bod, though I prefer his videos about ‘dealing with the police’.

I would think they would use words. Indeed, both the book and film version of Perfume worked quite well without utilizing ‘scratch and sniff’ or ‘smellovision’ techololgy. ;-)

Great, getting vitriolic over the opinions of someone I have no respect for and normally manage to laugh at. Guess I’m not coping that well to life without nicotine.

Cheers CH, but I don’t feel getting angry with someone who is looking for that reaction is the way I should go, people like that need to be ridiculed instead. Just been emailing the BBC with a complaint regarding their biased interviewing of Jody McIntyre on monday, my complaint had nothing to do with the subject of disability as there was no issue there, rather it was the serious lack of impartiality, something I do not expect from the news service of a non profit making corporation paid for by the public, and their attempts to dismiss a lot of genuine complaints as the result of lobbying rather than deal with the issue (they won’t be able to continue with that line for much longer as the issue has been snowballing for the last day and a half and shows no sign of abating).
However there is only one way to vote in this life, with your wallet so I will not be renewing my TV licence, nothing really good enough anyway to justify near enough £150 a year and I watch most things online anyway.
Not mad, just sad this is the way things are going.

Hehe, the bbc have replied to my complaint, they haven’t even read it, just an auto reply which says they have a blog on the subject with a link for said blog. The blog is 700+ posts long and growing, (there are posts that are awaiting further moderation approaching 24 hours after they were made!) and nobody from the bbc has made any reply. I expected this but the head in the sand mentality is not going to work here, there is now more anger at the attempts to ignore the complaints than with the bias in the interview. Of to OFCOM I go.
