Former NME writer Steven “Swells” Wells has died.

Those of us who used to read what was, at the time, a great music magazine back in the late 80’s/ early 90’s will remember his provocative, laugh-out-loud writing.

RIP Mr Wells, thanks for the laughs.

If I remember rightly, didn’t he do the piece with Andy about the music scene in Belfast?

None the less, I’m sorry to see him go

In a day that every1 is wetting themselves about jacko going, this really is truly sad new. Swells was a reason to read NME back in day.

RIP
