Summer Holiday in the UK

Posted on September 2, 2010 in Driving, General

Just back from a 16 days holiday in the UK. My wife and I went there with our 43 year old Mustang V8 convertible and our camping gear. We used the ferry to get across the channel and drove al the way to the south-west coast of Devon. Beautiful sceneries there, steep cliffs and very small & steep single lane roads. Great driving .

In total we drove 1400 miles, 2240 kilometers, and had no mayor issues with our 'girl', except that she would not always start when warm... I still need to solve that problem (we discovered it mainly happens after we fill up the tank (which we did 8 times in total ;-), the V8 uses 14 liters p/100km on average, not too bad..)
