Since the finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2020, there has been continuous demand for a LEGO model of the blue-accented 501st Y-wing Starfighter featured in the final episode. 75391 Captain Rex Y-wing Microfighter is probably not what people had in mind!
Nevertheless, I am pleased to see the vehicle in LEGO form and its pilot is highly desirable, as this Captain Rex minifigure has only appeared once before, in 75367 Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser. An affordable chance to acquire this popular character is appealing.
Certain troopers are particularly suited to Battle Packs and the Imperial Commandos introduced in The Mandalorian season three are a fantastic example. These commandos feature interesting armour and they are deployed in great numbers, so they seem ideal for army building.
75373 Ambush on Mandalore Battle Pack includes two of these commandos, alongside a pair of unique Mandalorians. The minifigures are thus quite appealing, but I am less satisfied with the model included.
Naturally, the long-running range has yielded some interesting trends since 1999 and today we are sharing some absolutely useless LEGO Star Wars trivia, continuing our semi-annual series on the topic!
Ahead of a number of Star Wars related articles that we have planned for today, there's just time to remind you that the current offers at LEGO.com will be coming to an end tomorrow, so if you've not yet placed your order, now would be a good time to do so!

Today's random minifigure is hp311Tom Riddle - Black Long Hogwarts Coat and Vest, Light Bluish Gray Legs, a Harry Potter figure that came in one set, 76389 Hogwarts Chamber of Secrets, released during 2021.
Our members collectively own a total of 10,684 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $4.50.
The conclusion of The Mandalorian season three saw Moff Gideon's return, residing beneath the surface of Mandalore and heavily armoured to match his base of operations. 75386 Paz Vizsla and Moff Gideon Battle therefore introduces an exclusive Moff Gideon minifigure!
Paz Vizsla has also received an update since the character debuted in 75319 The Armourer's Mandalorian Forge and faces two new Imperial Praetorian Guards. On that basis, the minifigure selection seems exceptional and I think the model looks good too, reflecting the location from the television series.
Around 100 new sets have been revealed during the past couple of days, covering a wide variety of themes and ranging from a LEGO Delivery Truck to an almost 2000-piece Technic Lunar Rover!
With so many sets announced, as well as Ideas review results, it is probably worth summarising the highlights.
Today's random set is 1612 Victory Racer, released during 1988. It's one of 21 Town sets produced that year. It contains 25 pieces and 1 minifig.
It's owned by 995 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $29.60, or eBay.
A rather nice looking traditional chess set, 40719, which does not use minifigures for playing pieces, has been uploaded to LEGO.com ahead of its release on June 1st.
The 743-piece set, which also comes with draughts (checkers) pieces, will cost $74.99 / £64.99.
LEGO has published official images of four new DC sets, including the much-anticipated 76274 Batman with the Batmobile vs. Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze, inspired by Batman: The Animated Series!
These sets will be released on the 1st of June in Europe and the 1st of August in North America.
